Remember leg warmers from the 80's? Jane Fonda was famous for her aerobic moves that featured stylish leotards and leg warmers. Anyone who had any small sense of style had at least 10 pairs of leg warmers. Sure leg warmers were around in the 70's. They were originally worn for function, not fashion. Fast forward to the 1980's with movies like Flashdance and Fame, where every dancer wore them. Leg warmers went with everything - jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, pants, sneakers, and, yes, even high heels. As with most fads, leg warmers eventually faded and other fashion trends took over.
